Anyone have an opinion on the perko flush kit that goes near the oil cooler and is permanently installed so motor can be flushed in the water? Thank you. RR

Never used it but I see one possible flush issue and one longevity issue.
While flushing if the garden hose does not supply more water then the pump wants, the valve will open and allow raw water to mix in.
How long will the valve work without flow issues, what kind of maintenance is needed, and all it would take is hang one time and there could be a problem.

If you really want something like this I would look into a ball valve Y or straight with a hose fitting adapter.

Ayuh,... On an Alpha, it won't flush much of anything, as the impeller will still be pumpin' water into the system, with the hose,....

On the wagon, that thing will cause the impeller to run dry, 'n burn up,....

that will work on Bravo drives and volvo penta drives only. not on the Alpha drives or cobra drives (with raw water pump in leg)

If you want a flush kit that does not need to have the motor running, look into the superflush SF-400
