Hi, I have a 1997 25EH Mariner. Having problems starting engine. It refuses to start with electric start, but I can pull start if I pull on a thousand times. Once the engine starts, it runs perfect low side and high with no misses. I can run it at full throttle for twenty minutes, shut it down and try to restart while hot, but same problem. Once I kill engine it is almost impossible to start back. Very puzzling, once it starts it runs flawless.

Check compression hows the spark when warm? Adi-quit fuel supply, fuel pressure? a few things to check out if you haven't already.

Took a while to get back with you. Checked compression, 115 on both cylinders. Checked fire on cylinders, found that the top cylinder, green and yellow wire, has no fire. Other cylinder has good spark. Swapped wires on coil to check coil. Problem follows green and yellow wire.
