I am repowering and I use to have 150 yammies. Now I might be putting on 200 mercs. The yammies where mounted perfect as far as the cavitation plate. Do I mount the Mercs in the same holes. Can I use the yammie props on the merc?
Thanks

Pursuit, mount them exatly where you had the Yamahas. You didn't gives us enough information to figure out the props.

Re: Engine height for diff. HP

The height (X dimension) should be the same, or very close, if both sets of motors have standard recreational gearcases. We'll assume the 150 Yammies had the standard Yamaha gearcases. We'll also assume one was counter rotating. We'll further assume the Mercs have standard recreational cases, not Torq Masters or anything like that. We'll also assume that you'll have the toe in set correctly on both sets. (See why we always ask for more info?)

If the props are Yamaha props or props hubbed for Yamaha then yes, they'll fit on the Mercs, no problem. You may have to change the thrust washers and/or the spacers.
