engine identification

i was given an merc 110 serial number 2142663. It was manufactured in Fond du lac wisconsin. Its is a 9.8 horsepower twin. I was wondering how I can find out what year it was made so I can get parts for it. It looks as though it was only in the water a few times but the last was back in 1977.

I think it's older than 77, probably closer to 72
