Okay any and all ideas will be greatly appreciated in this matter. My girlfriend has a 2000 Bayliner Capri with a 5.0 carbeurated v-8 in it. The engine will not idle. When you start her you have to really give her some fuel then the engine revs really high. You try to back off the throttle and it will die. We have treated the fuel and such and we are getting ready to run it some more, but, it will only run wide open. A lot of people keep saying the jets are clogged. Is it also possible that the throttle linkages are loose? Is it possible the carbeurator is "stuck"?
