This weekend my Engine Coupler gave way. They have to pull the engine to fix the part, which means they will drain the fluids. It will be next week before my shop can get the boat in to start the repair. My question is.....We have maybe 1-2 more weekends left in this years boating season. Will it hurt to run the boat for two trips then leave the oil in over the winter? I really don't want to pay for an oil change then run it for 2 weeks and have to swap it out again.

Ayuh,.... To change the coupler, neither the motor's oil, nor the drive's oil is drained,....

Thank you!!! One other question, could hitting something a couple weeks ago cause the coupler to go out? I know misalignment is one of the causes of failure.
