ENGINE LOADING DOWN

HI<br /><br />MY MECHANIC SAYS MY ENGINE IS LOADING DOWN, WHAT DOES THIS MEAN, AND CAN A PERSON LIKE MYSELF, GO TO DUSKY MARINE OR ANY MARINE SHOP AND GET THE PARTS MYSELF TO FIX IT,, MY ENGINE IS A 85 JOHNSON OUTBOARD 90HP,,,, IS IT POSSIBLE THE POWERPACKS NEED TO BE REPLACED,?

DogToy..... Loading down is like saying "My engine's running rough". Neither statement means anything as it does not explain anything. If a engine was loading up, that usually pertains to a engine flooding out with excess fuel, but loading down is a mystery to me.<br /><br />Think about the problem you're having, then try to explain it thoroughly so that we can understand it. We in turn will then try to help.
