engine mounts, etc

Hello all,
I've got a 1988 Sunray 19' bowrider with a merc 470. Love the boat and engine, but I need to replace the stringers, transom, deck. This is a next Spring project, but I want to map it out now. Is there any reason why I couldn't or shouldn't also install and glass in engine mounts for a 4.3 or 5.0? If the 470 goes bad I will likely want something with a little more grunt, and having the mounts already there would make the switch a lot easier. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... The mounts for a V-motor may well be in the way of puttin' the 470 back in,....

And,... Ya need the V-motor hung off the rear motor mount, 'n aligned, to see exactly where the V-motor forward mounts need to be built up too,....
