Hello, New to this so please I need some help. First, my boat is a 1987 Bayliner ciera sunbridge. It has a fairly new rebuilt 350 chevy engine with a cobra outdrive. So my problem is this. On the water engine started and off I went. Shut off my engine to fish. When I attempted to restart the engine it turned over several times until it wouldn't start at all. I checked my ignition fuse and it was blown. Put another in and blew again and another in and once the ignition was turned to on another fuse was gone. Now at home I tested the ignition for continuity and it checked out good. Removed and had the starter tested and it was good. Took out the batteries and to my avail one battery was toast and the other was good. I haven't test the alternator yet. I used a small 12 volt battery to test the igniton switch with the starter out and my gauges and lights work. Im I missing anything else to test? I don't want to put the starter back in and blow more fuses so could it be that even though the starter tested ok that the solenoid has a short? or was cranking on the batteries since one was low caused a problem. If anyone has or knows what the issue could be I open to try something else. thank you
