Ok guys, now that we have covered just about every part of the fuel, ignition , and emissions systems.....did anything get left out.

TIME OUT.....everyone return to your boats with your hand on the throttle and you sit there until you think about what you did.

Naw..... it's a post Y2K build with a post Y2K style PCM.

You should honestly see some of the legitimate TSB's the OEM's released regarding Y2K and and how it relates to their vehicles.
Quite amusing...:)

I think Jetboat about covered this one, Good Job. You guys can laugh about leaving at a different time but I`ve seen some strange things over the years with different vehicles, father-in-law had a ford pickup that would NOT start at 30* it was in the shop more in the first year than he got to drive it. The techs never did find the problem, he got to the point he just carried a propane torch to heat up the control box and fool it into starting. Worked every time.

We had a problem like this. It was the main computer board solder connections. When it was cooler it would run no problem but every now and then it would completely just die when ever it wanted. The main board would heat up and flex a little cutting the circuit. Took a while to figure this out. multiple times at the shop with scan tools to diagnose.

cold solder sounds good next time try hot solder....bad comp usually throws a code or multiple codes .....plus waked out running,/guages going crazy, flashing and fluttering all over

What i meant was cold solder joints on the board. You know from electronic components heating up then getting cold then reheating again? happens in a lot of electrical boards. It would only throw codes every now and then disappear because nothing would be wrong and circuit would be fine. Happens on vehicles with over 200k. gauges never flash on this vehicle but have fixed a problem like that before on different vehicle and was just main wire harness solder cracks on back of main control cluster on dash. dodge factory should put a holder on the main harness so not so much weight hangs on the cluster harness plug.
