Engine Options

With so many engine options, I need help choosing a best fit for a 30 to 35 footer with ~11 ft. beam. probably a cruiser styled boat, but maybe a motoryacht.
Choices include but are not limited to:
Volvo Penta Twin 5.0 GXi/DP 270 hp
Volvo Penta Twin 5.7 Gi/DP 300hp
Volvo Penta Twin 5.7 GXi/DP 320 hp
Volvo Penta Twin 5.7 OSXi/XDP 320hp w/FWC
MerCruiser Twin 5.0 MPI/Bravo III DTS 260 hp
MerCruiser Twin 350 MPI/Bravo III DTS 300 hp
MerCruiser Twin MX 6.2/Bravo III DTS 320 hp

Any advice would be helpful. Other power options not listed are welcomed (e.g. 7.4L Mercruiser)....What's your favorite/recommendation and why.

Put a D6-300 in a 31 footer last year. 40 mph top speed using 12 gph.
Cruise at 30-35 using 9 gph.

When you go to the link above, not the "Engine Configurator" button on the left nav bar.
Play with that --------- A LOT ------ you will love it. Use all different kinds of info, sizes, shapes and speeds. Trust me, it's very accurate.
