I have a 1994 Sanger DX2 ,took out Friday ran fine ,coming back to dock Alarm went off engine temperature extremely hot ,shut off engine,came back on again,pulled impeller out replaced with new one,did a fake a lake test idle for 10 minutes got hot again 
,pulled thermostat there was no water in housing,had to tap thermostat out was wedged in tested thermostat it was functional,
Water line extremely hot on one side ,previous owner changed impeller every season,stock water pump any suggestions greatly appreciated
