Engine runs but.....

Got the engine running like a top but I'm not sure if the points and spark plugs are gapped correctly. It's a 230B Volvo I4 and it runs strong but I want it set up right before I tear into the floor repairs. Also is there supposed to be a primer bulb between the fuel tank and the engine driven pump. I only ask because somebody cobbled together a fuel line and there is one in the line with NO fuel filter. Thanks.

No there should not be a primer bulb in your fuel line. Remove the line and replace it with USCG approved fuel line.

Could you please explain what all that stuff means. Recently I pulled all my spark plugs and cleaned them up but I just put them back in. what does all that stuff mean?
