engine stalling when using trim. please help!

I am having a problem and i am not to sure what is going on. While my engine is running (idle) i hit my trim up or down and the engine stalls out. While running at cruising speeds the engine will will bog down but wont stall. Any sugestions?

My suggestion is that there is improper wiring that is effecting the voltage to the ignition circuit while the trim is being operated.

So, you are getting a substantial voltage drop at the ignition circuit. Time to check the wiring for bad/frayed connections, and improper alterations.

This is VERY common! Voltage drop in system equals loss of electricity for the igniting of spark plugs!

Don't ask me how I know this. :facepalm:

Make sure that your connections down at the starter are clean and corrosion free. I would take them all off and sand them to bare metal and reinstall.
