Engine Swap 140 to a 100

I have a 1989 Johnson VRO 140 Looper that I am wanting to swap out with a 1990 Evinrude XP100. I am wanting to use the same controls from the 140. Will there be any difference in the wiring harness?

It is all the same.-------Just need to adjust the throttle and shift cable.----Do a compression test on the XP 100 before installing it !

That’s the plan, to check compression before I even take it home. What should I be looking for, about 120?
