Hello
I have a 1981 Volvo Penta AQ125. It just recently will not turn over. I removed the plugs and tried to turn it over by hand, I can not turn it over. It seemed to run fine just a week ago, but just as we went pull out of the water it quit and would not start. I just asumed it was a dead battery and would deal with it later. Well I found it like this. My question is I do not know what is wrong yet, but assuming it is broken pretty well. I there any direct fits from other engines in this family. I would not mind putting some good pep and tourch behind it.
Also to add, while I was charging the battery I pulled the distributer to convert it to electronic points, and because you could not move it to adjust the timming. I know on so other engines that the oil pump is driven by a shaft off the bottom of the distributor, and you have to be careful not to drop that shaft.
