Engine swap

Hage a question about a possible engine swap. I currently have a 72 pacemaker with a crusader 220 (gm 307) and I have a buddy giving me a running essentially free merc 260 v8 late 80’s (gm 350). First question is would this engine be a direct swap? Would i have to change or upgrade anything crazy? And would it be worth swapping? Looks like a pretty straightforward job but I’d like advice from some people who may have more experience with this.

My my first post on here and appreciate any info.

Unbolt 307, bolt in 350. Use late model exhaust

Its more like 80 extra hp as your 307 was crank rated, and the late 80s motor was prop rated.

Youre going to need a different prop
