Engine Temp slowly climbs

I just bought a 1997 21ft Regal with a 4.3 Liter Volvo Penta sterndrive. At idle in the water the temperature gauge reads about 120. At about 1500 rpm it stays about 150. Once the boat is on a plane the temperature slowly rises (about 5 minutes of running) to about 190. Drop back to a high idle and the temp drops back to 150. Right before I bought the boat the exaust manifolds & risers had been replaced. There seems to be plenty of water coming out when on the trailer with the muffs on. The temp under those conditions is a constant 150. I plan to replace the raw water impeller & thermostat. Any other thins I should look at.

I would definitely replace the thermostat and raw water pump since their condition is unknown to you.
You can't judge water volume on the muffs, the hose pressure can force water into the system even if the
raw water impeller is bad.

Thanks for all the help. I should get the new parts today. I will know this weekend if I need to go further.

Profile? Location? Salt water??Model,serial#s
Closed cooling?Pics?
If it slowly rises and the impeller and thermostat is good???
It's possible the risers are clogged.
