engine timing on 1986 volvo 2.3

timing belt broke and i need to know how to reset the timing. would appreciate any help. this is a 2.3 engine, 130 horse. how do i reset the overhead cam wheel and the distribitor wheel in order to have the timing right.

For that, you really need to get a service manual. There is just too much involved in getting everything right than just a few lines in a post. There are several pages in the manuals, with drawings, pictures and specs for the complete process. Including setting the timing.
