engine timing

i have a 95 5.7l carbed, looking for ignition timing, i just rebuilt the heads and looking for static timing. do i need to disconnect anything ? bravo 2 in a rinker 265.

Timing is 8 BTDC
You should have a TB5 ignition, so get the motor warmed up then connect the purple/white (13) wire to ground to set
