engine transplant into different hull

I have a mercruiser 165hp (1977)in a tri-hull and I want to put it into an Imperial 19 foot V hull (buying the boat without a motor/stern drive but the throttle/shift controls and wiring plug are still in place). How can I be sure that it will fit? eg. Are there differences in the key cutout in the transom or other things I should be worried about?<br /><br />Any other advise cautions are much appreciated

If it had a Mercruiser Before,....... It'll Fit.......<br /><br />If it was OMC or Volvo,..... There'll be Fiberglass Work........
