I'm looking for replacement engine vents for our 1989 Bayliner 2755. They are located on the stern end on the sides. The rough opening is 4 1/8" x 8 7/8". The connection box measures 5 1/4" x 13 1/8" overall. The ducts are 4". Bayliner says they don't have them and don't know where to find them. Does anyone here have a source for them? Or have you done something else to replace them?

You may have to resize the opening and go to the larger available side vents and boxes.

I've seen the Atwood vents and they're longer and narrower. Sure didn't want to rebuild the openings - that's a major job - cutting out and filling the gaps. I was hoping that someone else had done this.

Made my own. It was easier than posting a pic here. Sorry for the multiple upside down posts.

no704, what did did you make yours with? They look pretty good. I may have to do that, also. I could try a local sheet metal shop & see if they could make something with stainless sheet. Thanks.

Redneck Joe, I'm in Cortez, Colorado, a long way from everywhere. No boneyards around here, other than the junk left to rot in the sun on the back side of most property. Since these vents are plastic. and at their age with continuous sun exposure I would expect that any vents from a similar age boat would be as weather-damaged as mine. I am a long time BOC member, and received no reply to my post there. It looks like I'll have to fab something.

Made mine out of aluminum and about 10 hours on a Bridgeport. It was a slow week at work.
