I have twin 3.0 Merc inboards on a 2003 houseboat and on the last trip one engine refused to run below 2000 rpm. When coaxed above that it ran just fine on a 50 mile trip but died as soon as we tried to dock the boat.
The engines only have 100 hours on them.
Any ideas???
bigjohn

Possible vaccum leak...or flooding carburator...if it has quadrajet carbs check the secondary throttle shaft and make sure it is closed all the way, possibly stuck open a bit.
