engine won't start

i have a 92' mercury 175 fuel injected. it started ran a few min. and died. will not start now. it has fire to plugs. ( changed plugs) the plugs are wet with fuel. engine cranks very good. it had old fuel. i drained all fuel from tank and replaced. still no luck! what do i check next? :rolleyes:

Check the resistance of the stator wires, your motor has a hi-speed and low-speed set of stator windings. You can have good spark indicated and the engine won't fire.<br /><br />You'll need a Seloc or equivalent manual for the correct procedure and winding resistances for your motor.<br /><br />This is assuming that you are actually getting fuel to the cylinders. Take a spray bottle and fog fresh pre-mix (50:1) into the carbs and see if she'll kick. If so, you'll want to clean out the carbs.<br /><br /><br />HTH/G'luck.........ed
