Engine year and specs required for parts...

I'm in the process of reviving a omc cobra 5.0L (GM) and need to know the year and model.
I need a ignition coil and distributor.
Anyone know the part numbers?
I have the following info.

It's out of a 1989 Bayliner Capri 21' bow rider.
model# 985371
serial# T0571999
Engine 5.0L

With alot of the older OMC's using the model and serial number is not good enough to look up parts. The parts catalog will ask you to identify which distributor and carb you have. You probably have either a Mallory or Prestolite breaker distributor. For the carb you probably have a Holley or Rochester.

If you post pics of the distro and carb we can Identify it for you.
