Any opinions on 20 year old Twin 350's Alpha one drive that is not put into service for a season (cold climate)? I know if they sit for years you can expect problems, but what about one season .... assuming they were propely winterized, of course.

Shouldn't be a problem, if properly winterized.

My friends boat sat in a garage in Illinois for over 20 years unused and we got it running just fine last summer. We had to replace the fuel tank, clean the carbs, and replace some fuel line but it ran just fine.

One season is no big deal. You might want to pull the plugs and give each cylinder an extra shot of oil, but even if you don't the fogging oil from the winterization should still prevent any damage.

Mine has been sitting for almost a full year (didn't touch the water once last year) and I am not anticipating any issues, but I knoew when I put it away that it was going to be a long storage.
