I'm doing some fix-ups on my Gamefisher 15, replaced the impellor and drained the lower unit. I'm looking in the owner's manual and it says to replace the oil with 90WT Outboard motor lub! ...This any different then regular 90WT gear oil? (which I have sitting in my shop) Anybody know for sure? ...THX!

From what I understand, you're fine to use what you have. However, the 90wt specifically made for outboard lower units has some additives to help it better survive a little water intrusion. (take from that what you will :p)
