My friend has an 86 gamefisher 15 made by eska. He wants 400 for it so I was looking for a little more background on the ones made by eska. Parts availability, reliability, etc. I have a force gamefisher (~89 model) and it ran great until a condensor went bad. So if someone could give me a little background on this before I drop some Benjamins on it, I'd appreciate it lol.

With just a quick search I found some parts, like carb kits. On ebay there are some new and used parts. Such as an impeller for water pump, powerhead gaskets. I did not see any ignition parts though. Depending on your location you might find a good running OMC for around the same money.

If my friend was going to offer me a 15hp O/B motor for $400, that was no longer in production, especially a ESKA, I would question our friendship. There are plenty of OMC's, Merc's and the like out there for $400-600. This past fall I purchased a 1999 15HP Merc Long Shaft for $400, just needed to be cleaned up, as it was on the back of a sailboat. See if you can get the parts for your Force if worse comes to worse.....Just my 2cts.

Thanks for the insight guys. Parts availability really matters to me. I really didn't think 400 was a good price at all, especially since we're pretty good friends. I found a 94 Suzuki 15 for 1k. People down here in sc want too much for everything!

I would caution you against the suzuki for the same reasons parts availability. I would try to find a omc 15 if anything.

How hard can it be to find a condenser....any condenser? Doesn't have to be OEM to work!
