ETEC 250 donor emm computer installation?

I have a 2006 etec 250 with a bad computer. I have located a donor computer with he same PN. It came from a 225hp. I do have the software to program the injectors. Evinrude Diagnostics 5.9. Can I just tune the injectors or does the unit need to be flashed with some other software?

you will have a 225hp motor unless the SW is loaded for a 250 which is I understand is tricky. It can be done but my understanding is you need a dealer to do it with a special password

in any event ask the folks on the EOB above.
