Recently purchased a 96 smoker craft with a 70hp evenrude. This is the first "modern" boat I have owned.
The problem I am having is that below 2500 RPM it seem to miss. Almost like it's not running on one cylinder. Once I open it up it runs fine. So when running in a no wake zone it misses. On top of that it will randomly die at the low rpm. Sometimes it starts back up immediately, sometimes I have to try a bit. It does seem to idle alright although with a decent amount of smoke.
Any ideas?
