The gasoline you buy now has ethanol and who knows what else mixed in.
The ethanol will disolve the older rubber and it will screw up your fuel system.
I've worked on quite a few motors that the ethanol has destroyed the fuel lines.
It disolves the hoses and will clog filtersand carbs and cause all kinds of problems.
Check your lines for soft,mushy and loose connections.Change the hoses to the new ethanol resistant type.J
