I have an Evinrude 115/80 Jet drive that has newly rebuilt carb and has run well until recently. It runs at idle fine, but bogs at WOT after planing. I'm not getting a "low oil horn" and I've tried two different fuel tanks/lines and neither fixed the problem. It looks as if the VRO is drawing down the oil in the tank as it should. It can get onto a plane for a few minutes (and if you work it up on plane slowly, it might even stay that way). But, if you try to give it WOT (or anything close) it simply bogs down. Any thoughts on what to try next? Many thanks.

Sounds like the needle's getting stuck shutting off the flow of fuel. My '82 115 (not jet drive) has little metal clips that pull the needle out of the seat when the float drops vs. using only gravity. They weren't used in the original configuration.

I have a similar problem on my 1994 Johnson V4 140 hp. I thought it was my spark plugs fouled but i changed them and i still had issues. When i put the throttle all the way down, the motor will not go like it used to. It seems like its running at 25% capacity. I'm lucky if i get it to plane, and thats after incrementally increasing throttle and with two guys in the bow. I'm thinking its a fuel issue? Anymore input?
