I've just pulled the heads on my V4 125hp I have recently purchased to find no1 piston slightly damaged and a broken top piston ring. The strip down procedure in the manual looks very straight forward but I have discovered in the past that this type of job can be a little harder in practace than they are in theory and nothing can beat experiance. I have dismantled the motor down to the block removing flywheel, electrics, carbs etc, but before I remove the power head from the leg and split the crank housing I was wondering if anyone has any gems of wisdom that may save me from learning a lesson the hard way. I look forward to your coments.
