I did a post on this awhile back. Not sure I got the answer i needed. I'd want to change out the thermostats if i knew their location. I see bolt like cover above the heads on either side.Am I close?

Don't know what year you have but my '79 thermostat housings have four bolts and they're right above nr.1 and nr. 2 cylinders.

c/6
Hooty

The heads on an Intruder dont have any covers on them. Are you sure you have a 60 degree looper? Post the model number so we can "see" what you have.

If you have an Intruder, it is a 60 degree block and the thermostats are at the top of each cylinderhead behind a plastic cover nut. You can use a 13/16" spark plug socket to remove it and replace the thermostats.
