Evinrude 1969 85 hp Impeller question

Hey all, I have picked up a 1969 85hp v4 and the impeller needs to be replaced. It has sat for 10 years or so. It runs great, but I know I should replace the impeller. My question is should I get just the impeller or should I just by the water pump kit with all the seals and replace everything? Thanks.

The safe bet tells you to buy the kit. Unless you know exactly what in the lower unit, you should get the kit. I just had a whole ordeal with one where I started with the impeller thinking that was the only problem and worked my way to the wear plate and the impeller housing to completely fix it. If anything is worn it'll save you some time by getting the whole kit!
