motor slows right down @ full throttle & when it feels like it goes right back to full speed most of the time i have to go into idle speed before it starts snapping & bucking as if its clearing spark plugs it idles ok!i have cleaned carb. fuel pump looks ok. changed spark plugs water flow is not hot i suspect power pack but as this only happens under load it may be difficult to isolate

Hi, BMEW.<br /><br />Your symptoms could be from water in the fuel, intermittent ignition failure or fuel supply restriction.<br /><br />I would start by trying a fresh tank of fuel and fuel line.<br /><br />If that does not help, I would try it with the bonnet off, in case there is a plug wire shorting out when the bonnet pushes it against the block or something.<br /><br />Since it seems to behave when not under load, I would also confirm that both cylinders are making power by shorting out each plug at idle.<br /><br />Let us know what you find.<br /><br />Good luck.

hi. i removed both spark plug wires bottom cyl. wire required pliers to remove. coiled wire inside rubber "boot' was very corroded tried to clean it up but no go also checked new spark plugs black carbonizing evident on bottom one also gap was .030" reset to oem specs. .040" believe theres a lesson there! jammed bottom wire on & top cranked motor good spark on both motor idle was way hi. set it back to cam setting."running like a dream" will get a new plug wire monday & go for a sea trial
