In December I encountered a problem while winterizing my 2001 200hp Eninrude. I was running the engine just out of neutral to speed up the flow of the fuel/stablizer mixture into the engine. After 15 min's of this, I decided to go ahead and fog the engine. Bad idea. The engine over reved and the EMM (internal computer board) killed the engine before I could jump in the boat and do it.

Evinrude tech says everything should be fine, just need to clear the error code from the EMM. Anyone ever seen this before?

Keeping my fingers there is no real problem. Evinrude dealer has it in line at the shop. Should know something definite in the next week or two.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks
Allen
Guitar Picker
