Hello guy's.I am new on this site.I am in need of help.I am trying to tune up this motor 2001 Evinrude 250hp model E250FCZSIF .All I need is some one at there knows what is the ignition timing in degrees.I am using the Evinrude software program.I have the engine running,hook to the computer .and I am trying to verified the timing.But don't know what is the degree that it should be.If any body can verified and tell me for that model and year ,what is the Ignition degree?Thanks

Do you have the DOS program or the EVdiag windows based one? As far as I know their is no timing adjustments. If your talking about the verification (calibration), you look at what the software says and you verify it with a timing light #1 cylinder. And then you adjust in increments of 1/2 a degree I believe, it's been a while but I think the max you can advance/retard is 4 degrees.

There is no timing spec. This is not a traditional 2 stroke, it is a computer controlled low-emission direct-injected 2-stroke engine that needs diagnostic software, factory service manual, and knowledge of how the systems work to service it properly.

Get a 2000 factory manual and the 2001 update booklet and study them, or enlist the services of a FICHT trained technician to teach you.
