I have a pair of 2004 Evinrude ficht 225hp out boards and the starboard motor has had intermittent problems with the oil light and buzzer coming on and then the motor drops down to a low speed. I normally just replace the number 7 fuse in the motor and everything seems to work. This has been check by two dealer and they were unable to figure it out so I had to live with it like that for some time now. But this last time the buzzer went off I replace the fuse in and the motor and it would start and then stall. After connecting the diagnostic software to it and I thought the problem might be the cps Sync sensor but after swapping with working motor that proved to be wrong. I checked the spark plug wires and I am not getting spark from any cylinders. The diagnostic software says there are no active faults with key in the on position. Please if anybody has any suggestions I need them.
