I have a 1993 25 hp Evinrude that I just put a new carb on last night. The carb is different than my previous in that is has the adjustment screw on the front.
Once I got the new carb on, I starter it up and it seemed to do okay until I tried to give it gas in neutral. It died then. Restarted and it was running at a high idle.
My questions are when I opened the throttle the butterfly did not appear to open up but could have died to quickly or maybe it needs to be in gear???? I did not change the linkage at all from one carb to the other.
Also, could someone explain the proper procedure for adjusting the idle screw?
