Evinrude 35HP 1984

On the center of the cranckshaft there is a bearing with a twopart outhershell, like two arrows. Which way is correct to turn this bearing. My manyal only covers models up to 1978, with old type bearing with spring ring. Should the arrow piont with cranck rotation or against ??

Hi Dane<br />Here goes, Install crankcase half of center main bearing rollers and shell, matching dovetail ends. See figure 5-60.<br /> Dane it looks to me like the point of the arrow, points to the exhaust side of the block. I will try to send you a picture, so you will be able to make your own call.
