I tried to post this in engines but cannot post, anone know about that?
Anyways, I am starting to reassemble powerhead on '62 evinrude lark IV after a re-bore.
The book says 348-372 inch pounds which is 29-31 foot pounds. The thing that throws me is I had to never have gotten those off! I had to use a breaker bar AND have a buddy help me hold the sucker down. 348 foot pounds would be more like it, those bolts were on there!
Does that sounds right?
Thanks Gents,
