Thank you ! I picked this motor up from a buddy of mine too tune it up for him. He bought it last year and has not used it. It had champion plugs in it J6C. I don't care much for champ plugs but that is all I could find here for it. Hope it is the correct plug. I took it out for a test run and it ran suprisingly well.

You may not care for Champion plugs. I don't care for them much either. But I wouldn't consider putting anything besides them in a Johnson or an Evinrude. For whatever reason, they simply work better in these engines. J6C is the correct plug for that engine. Gap is .030" <br />You may want to add an extra dollup of oil to your mix. Check out the "Engine FAQ" forum for Fuel/Oil mix.<br /><br />I agree with OBJ though - those are sweet little engines!
