my evinrude 55 1978 2cyl is very difficult to start and wont idle properly,it will start for a moment with choke, then dies, then when restarted will idle fast and gradually slow until it stalls.carbs have been cleaned and seems to be getting enough fuel.
i have been told these engines are very tempramental and un-reliable....is this true?
is there a common carb problem on these,i have found a pair of carbs from a 60hp version, will these work on a 55?
im begining to run out of ideas with this motor, and dont want to get rid of it,its in great condition
help please! im dying to get out on the water!!!
