I have recently bought a boat with an Evinrude 60hp engine, the previous owner thinks it's from the 80s (he bought the boat with a chrysler engine that broke and then bought this evinrude 2-3 years ago).
The identification tag is not there anymore and the "nickel" attached to the engine block is also missing (I don't know the history of the engine and why it's missing).
I have found several different numbers on various parts of the engine: 326100, 200153 (serial number?), 322898, 325802, DI328278
I also have some pictures of the decals, could someone help me out?

The cowling has been painted, so no use here.-----One applique seems to show that it is a 1983 or so.

the 60hp 2cylinder was only offered between 1980-1985. There is a silver welch plug on the top of the crank case. There are numbers stamped in it, on these engines it should be the model and serial number. You should find an E60EL- - or E60TL - -. The last 2 will give the year.

The welch plug is gone, the "nickel" I was telling about is the welch plug. I don't know about the motors past, how many different owners it has had.
Is there any other way to determine the age? It has no powertrim or tilt and has a long rig. Maybe it don't matter the exact year if it's in between 1980-85.
I want the information so I can buy the correct parts, read about the oil mix (2% or less?) etc.

If you look thru BRP/shopevinrude you will see most of the parts for the 50-60hp are the same with the carbs being the biggest difference.
