I have a 6 hp fisherman from 1979 and was just wondering what the white knob in the middle with numbers does. Thanks!

Carb adjustment for low speed.

If nothing changes when you twist it while the motor is idling you probably need to clean the carburetor. It should make a noticeable difference in how it runs.
