evinrude 7.5 1953

i have an evinrude 7.5hp 1953 with the neutral clutch. I have two lower ends as parts but need the clip to hook up the upper clutch rod to the lower clutch rod that is located in the gear housing .Any idea where i can get one or can i make a clip? thanks john
