Hello, I have two cracked mag coils on my 1953 7.7hp evinrude.will the coils from later tears,1954-1957 work?? i need to get points ,condenser & plugs also. My lower end was all seized up,i freed that up but the clutch spring is broken,any idea where to get the spring and seals for that lower end? thanks john

Should have the universal magneto setup used on 2 cylinder motors from early '50's to about '73. Same coils, points and condensers.

Is the spring in the pinion shaft/shock absorber? If so, you can likely find a used salvage one. I use tim's outboard 218-682-2331. They'll also have a gearcase seal kit.

The seals can be gotten through any bearing supply house like Kaman Bearing. Take your old ones with you, or lacking them, take your housing and shafts and they can mic them up for dimensions...
