Evinrude 8 HP not getting gas

Can anyone tell me if when you press the gas bulb and it doesnt fill up with gas you are supposed to hear air coming out of the fuel pump/filter area? I cant get gas to it, bulb wont get hard but all I hear is air coming from under the hood. Tried 2 different tanks so far. Im at a loss. Anyone? Thanks in advance.

possibilities are:
No fuel in tank.
An air leak in the fuel line on the suction side of the bulb or in the top of the tank.
The valve at the outlet end of the bub is defective .

But if you have tried two tanks c/w fuel lines and bulbs ????????

Two dodgy bulbs ... not impossible

Yes arrow is in right direction but Im hearing a hissing sound at the fuel pump. Is this normal?
