Evinrude 85HP to Johnson GT200

Hello all, well I have finally decided to upgrade from my 1972 Hydro Electric Shift Evinrude 85. It’s a good motor but just have been having a lot of issues with the electric shift system. I am looking at picking up a Johnson GT200. What do you guys think of the GT200 any major issues that these motors typically have? Also if anyone knows the weight difference between the 2 motors that would be helpful? You all have help me so much with the Evinrude85 but I’ve come to the point I’m just tired of messing with it. 245 lbs for one and 440 lbs for the other.

Yeah, racers reply pretty much says it all. However, on the transom "Somewhere", there is a plate that states the maximum allowed horsepower for the boat.

What is that stated rating?
